April Spears, proprietor of comfort food eatery Auntie April's (4618 3rd St.) is launching a new venture, called Café Envy. The eatery will feature healthy fare and aims to foster community and create a model for young African-American entrepreneurs in Bayview.
For Spears, expanding her business has been in the works for some time.
"The number of African-American-owned restaurants in the city of San Francisco is few and far in between," she told Hoodline. "I can count those owned by black women on one hand. It's my passion to preserve the legacy of black businesses in this city and in my neighborhood especially."
This modern four-story building provides 49 affordable apartments to very low-income seniors aged 62 and over. It was developed in 2008 by Providence Foundation of San Francisco and Christian Church Homes. Providence Senior Housing is located on the Third Street Corridor in San Francisco’s Bayview Hunter Point neighborhood. Just one block from the MUNI light rail system, downtown San Francisco is less than 30 minutes away!

Is a combination of the owner's daughter's name (Adaya) & the owner's survival from a fire. Together Dayfyah. In other words, they are fire. The co-owners combined efforts to establish themselves in the city’s Tenderloin neighborhood as the go-to spot for fashion kids, hip-hop heads, skaters, and anybody with an interest in urban culture. The store has recently begun its quest for domination in 2019 and has continued to bring its community the best in fashion, music, art, and culture ever since. Dayfyah is laying down the groundwork to be an industry leader.
