Dayfyah is the premier home-grown Streetwear Apparel Boutique in San Francisco. We are a black-owned, father and daughter-driven business. The name, Day-Fy-Yah! In case you were wondering. Is a combination of the owner’s daughter’s name (Adaya) & the owner’s survival from a fire. Together Dayfyah. In other words, they are fire. The co-owners combined efforts to establish themselves in the city’s Tenderloin neighborhood as the go-to spot for fashion kids, hip-hop heads, skaters, and anybody with an interest in urban culture. The store has recently begun its quest for domination in 2019 and has continued to bring its community the best in fashion, music, art, and culture ever since. Dayfyah is laying down the groundwork to be an industry leader.

My name is Carol Rivera and I am the owner of A Touch of Heaven Beauty Salon. I established my salon in 2004 and have been in business for 17 years enjoying every minute of it. Prior to founding my business in 2004, I mastered my skills by working in other salons. I believe that hair care is very important and pride myself in addressing the needs of each client individually by maintaining and styling their hair in a way that is fitting for their hair type. I specialize in relaxers, dreadlocks, locks re-twisting, cornrow braids, crochet braids, weaves, press and curl, and coloring.
I serve children, the working class, college students, and seniors…everyone is welcome.

Aref and Dalia Elgaali and their four children came to America in 2016. Upon discovering that San Francisco had no authentic Sudanese restaurants, they decided to bring the great taste of their homeland to the Bay Area. Their collaboration is a labor of love with Aref re-creating family recipes passed down over generations for the soups, salads, and entrees while Dalia specializes in taste-tempting desserts such as Baklava, Barbosa, and her delicious Dalia Rice Pudding. Zoul means “friend” in Sudan. The Elgaali’s welcome you to Z Zoul Café where their cuisine is perfect for those times when friends and family gather together.
The African Outlet opened its door first in 1989, on Divisadero Street, San Francisco, in a space accommodating three people maximum – truly, an African stall. In 1984, a storefront became available in Hayes Valley, Octavia Street; we moved and settled for nearly 20 years. After emerging from a brief residence in storage, we opened our doors in Bayview, our current home – at 4942 Third Street, at Quesada. From conception, The African Outlet has, and always will be, synonymous with the qualities of authentic, traditional, and unique, and African items of so many categories – masks, sculpture, fetish, items for ceremony, fashion, fabrics, hanging art, accessories, adornments, oils, and incense. We invite you to the ambiance of Africa, in all of its many layers, colors, and expressions.
