Is a combination of the owner’s daughter’s name (Adaya) & the owner’s survival from a fire. Together Dayfyah. In other words, they are fire. The co-owners combined efforts to establish themselves in the city’s Tenderloin neighborhood as the go-to spot for fashion kids, hip-hop heads, skaters, and anybody with an interest in urban culture. The store has recently begun its quest for domination in 2019 and has continued to bring its community the best in fashion, music, art, and culture ever since. Dayfyah is laying down the groundwork to be an industry leader.

Aref and Dalia Elgaali and their four children came to America in 2016. Upon discovering that San Francisco had no authentic Sudanese restaurants, they decided to bring the great taste of their homeland to the Bay Area. Their collaboration is a labor of love with Aref re-creating family recipes passed down over generations for the soups, salads, and entrees while Dalia specializes in taste-tempting desserts such as Baklava, Barbosa, and her delicious Dalia Rice Pudding.
